Timber Cladding

PCP are proud to offer a wide range of natural cladding options and are also official distributors of NORclad, Cedar and Thermowood Timber Cladding. Our range of sustainable responsibly purchased CSA, FSC, PEFC and SFI certified timber cladding products provide a wonderful contemporary set of solutions for finishing the façade of any building.

NORclad offer a new innovative range of Timber Cladding pre-treated with a new process called Osmose MicroPro that preserves the wood to it’s original state. It is available in attractive MicroShades with a weathering profile that enriches over time and comes with a 30 year Warranty against rot when used out of ground contact.

Unlike Cedar, which goes silver grey and black, NORclad Micronized Green or Brown colour will remain – it may get slightly lighter or darker depending on location but will be relatively stable and weather naturally.

Cedar is an alternative that is available in a variety of lengths. Cedar is a highly versatile, attractive and durable cladding material – proving increasingly popular as it combines superb long term
performance and impressive thermal insulation properties. Lightweight and ideal for fast track building schemes, it is also more resistant to warping, twisting and shrinking than any other softwood. Cedar can be left untreated to turn an attractive silvery grey patina or can carry pigmented finishes. It can also be supplied pre-coated. It is durable achieving BS EN 350 class 2 rating (approx 60 year service life) and is environmentally approved by either CSA or SFI accredition.

Thermowood, also available in a variety of lengths, is 50% more stable than untreated softwood and more resistant to shrinkage, swelling and distortion. Thermowood is very durable (approx 30 year service life) with low maintenance and no preservative needed. Lightweight and easy to work, Thermowood is resistant to water, rot, decay and fungi and PEFC certified.
